As u know theres like lots of complaints going around due to the EDS system being used by SBST at the moment. Complaints like cant see the number or dont knw whats the destinations are some of the common complaints.
wouldnt it be nice if SBST were to make a plastic desto that they could use to put at the front of the windscreen nearest to the front door (around the same location as the WAB logo) ? Belows are some of the examples.

And who says that a 2axles DD cant have aircon ?
Just this week, KMB n CTB has each received a E400 from ALD to be used as trial to replace some of their old 11m NAC DDs.
Im actually quite interested to know how they will be like running in hk. Hope they will turn out fine ?
And if this is successful, i think we will see them on our side given that the bus companies over here in sing have a very good relationship with their counterparts at HK. A very suitable replacement for our VO2x.

Since the govt is trying so hard trying to push the 2 bus operators to improve their services to the public by just trying to increase the freq and stuffs, why didnt the govt try to think of other ways to improve our public transport experience ??
A Boat Bus ??
Maybe the govt can try to ask HippoTours to buy in more of such vehicles and start on normal regular passengers service. Imagine it running along Marine Parade Rd then entering via East Coast Park and bringing u all the way to Singapore River ?
Scheme A services strike back..
Since SAF has so much 5 Tons lying around different camps doing nothing, maybe we could convert like 100 of them ? Since going up and down might be a problem, maybe we shld simply put them on premium service instead ?

Something happened today and it really set me thinking about what is going on in the Singapore Bus scene. People always comment that we are a very small group of people and we should actually stand together so that we can be united.
On the surface, it may seems that we are very close and united. But touch urself and ask yourself this question..
Are u really sure that we are what it seems to the outside ppl ?
I think the answer is usually a no.
Instead of being united, it seems to me that there is actually a very story inside the scene. What i see now is power struggle inside the scene. People fighting against each other tryin to be the so called "Leader" of the group. I find it very sad as people actually are doing all sorts of things to do that. I mean, what will u gain at the end of the day ? POwer ? Fame ? I would say maybe yes. But how about respect ? I would say no. Things that ppl do now only make me feel sick. 20+ year old young adults doing funny funny stuffs to gain popularity among the small community ?
Gone were the days where ppl do get together to really discuss things that related to buses or their life. What i see now is ppl getting into arguments trying to see who can take better photos. Who can get a "rare" shot of camoe buses. Who knows which driver driving on what routes. Who is able to get better "inside" news and the list will just go on.
This is just getting nowhere at all. It only make me feel that ppl are actually childish enough to get into this kind of small matters, going into great lengths trying to outdo one another.
If that is the case, i would like to post a question. What is the meaning of bus spotting to you ? What is going to happen in near future, i dare not think about it.

People always say that Grass will always be greener on the other side. What do you actually think about this ?
I was going through the hk forums for the past 2 days and ive realised how much difference is there between us (The Singapore Bus Fans) and bus fans from hk. From my previous travel experience in hk, it seems that bus fans are a norm to them. If you wanna snap a photo of a bus, go ahead and snap and nobody will think anything about u as long as u dont put urself in any form of danger. Walk around the bus park / bus terminal and you are free to snap anything that u wish.
But back here in Singapore, everything is like the opposite ? Snapping of photos is like only confine to the outside of the interchange/terminal as thanks to the london bombing, we cant snap anything "sensitive" inside the respective terminals. Even if you are snapping outside, u are subject to "Panic" public who call in the police.
Sometime i really wonder what is wrong with SIngaporeans ? They will always panic or make a big fuss out of nothing when they see ppl snapping photos away ? I remember when i was in HK this march, while snapping away photos at one of the terminal, some of the ppl who had just alighted from the bus accidentally walk into our path and our hk counterparts started to shout at them. Back in Sing, ppl will not give a damm of what u r snapping. Instead of trying to walk away from ur line of shoot, they will walk right into it and even giving u looks (as if you are trying to take their photos WTH).
IN singapore, when there is like a particular service that is to be withdrawn,it will just involved a few of us taking our last ride on the service for 1 last time and thats it. Maybe a couple of shots before it is being put out of service. In HK, it is soooo overwhelming that bus co. often have to add in extra buses for their last trips and maybe even organise a special farewell event for that particular service. A very good example would be KMB Svc 70. where KMB had to deploy 3 buses for their last departure as there were hundred over bus fans trying to get on the very last ride. Some were even angry when they found out that theirs wasnt the "Last" ride for that service. Another event to be mentioned happened just a few nights back. It was the withdraw of Service K16. The top management of MTR (Bus) decided that it was special enough where they had to seal off a small section of the terminal and organise a simple farewell party for that service. Good for the bus fans.
It seems that theres this culture difference and that Singapore bus fans will nvr be like those from HK.
the grass is always greener on the other side.

Bye Bye K16...
Yesterday was the final day of operations for K16. A very good example of how governments around the world try to substitute bus services by digging or extending more and more train lines.
It seems that i could no longer get a glimpse of a KCRC Bus action in the city area (Kowloon area) since K16 was the only service in City area. Will miss the friendly red and blue livery running around Tsim Sha Shui area.
One less attraction for me the next time i decide to go there. Seems like the only way to spot them now is to travel all the way up north or to the west area.
A Tribute to K16.... (All Photos are taken from differen forums and thus i dont own the copyrights to them.)
A short and sweet service. Linking East Tsim Sha Shui Stn and Nam Cheong Stn in the city area. 5.9km with 7 stops between them. HK$4.4.
K16 will only be part of the Hong Kong history from today onwards.....

It was suppose to be a very nice livery until they decided to change it to some pale grey pale red and white.
When they did that.. I told myself that it isnt as bad as what i was thinking. At least they colour combination seems okay to my eyes. I told myself that maybe they just wanted to break away from KCRC and thus they decided to opt for the not so popular colour combi.
Happened to surf hkitalk and i got a shocked at the new livery that MTR has presented to the public....
It makes the bus looks really weird with this new livery that MTR has chosen for their buses. It simply doesnt match with the buses that they have. The colour combi that they have right now (wait a min.. its pure white in the first place..) okay, maybe that piece of red dash at the front. it just dont go well...
Not forgetting that this "New" livery sort of reminds ppl of the old Discovery Bay buses. The "WOW" factor is just gone....
I think this is a case where Old is better than New.
A tribute to the Old livery of MTR (OR rather KCR Bus).
It look so SMART that it gives ppl a very smooth feeling about the bus.

To some ppl, bus engine are always that boring.
But to some, Bus engine sounds are something which is quite wonderful.. Especially when u have engine which produces unique sounds where u could actually find it elsewhere...
Will u ever board a bus with the sound of a machine gun ??
A very big BOO to LTA for making a error which i think they shouldnt make in the very first place.
First it was Joon Koo Station and now this :
This is the result when u have scholers up there who doesnt commute on the public transport and yet they think that they knw everything.
BOOO !

Of late, people have been askin me the reason on why i have so much "feelings" over the service 371 or sbs9672c for that matter..
When ppl ask me that.. I would always be speechless. I don't know why but i just can't give a good reason to them.
Yes.. I know i'm a bus fan. But i can say that the reason why i'm so attached to a simple feeder service or simply a Dennis Trident may not be connect to the fact that i'm a bus enthu from the very beginning..
9672 might not be a very fantastic bus in terms of performance. Or maybe even the worst trident of the 20 that SBST owns.
But i don't care.
Same goes for 371. Tis service might not have went through any interesting places. Just a simple feeder service servin the needs for sengkang residents. So what if it doesn't go through city areas ? So what if it was being w/d due to the sklrt ?
But i don't care..
No matter what happens, 371 n 9672c will always have a special meanin to me.

Our Singapore government also claim that Singaporeans can enjoy the most seamless transfer from one mode of transport to another without much hassle. According to them our system is one of the best and that not many ppl are able to achieve that.
Well, i used to think that too until i got to see this photo taken by one of the Aust enthusiast.
This is what i call a seamless transfer between different mode of transport. Just hope that some scholars up there will wake up their ideas...

Woke up in the morning.. Couldnt find anything to do so i simply just took out my new babies and took some shots of them.. :D
Below are the shots i took... Buses involved are LO3x (11m / 12m) and O305...
2 new models might not mean anything.. Trust me..
i had a hard time trying to rearrange all my babies so that they can all fit in :D..
I wonder where i should put my next model :D Serangoon Depot going NAC...
