I think.. During the December of 2005, it would be a year that many bus enthusiast will remember.. Be it overseas or Singapore. I think itz time for me to tell you guys what acutally did happened Both in Singapore and in Britian.
9th December 2005.. Mark the day whereby the last RouteMaster is being withdrawn out of service. What actually is a RouteMaster ? I believe many of you have heard about the famous Red London bus with No doors.. ?? whereby ppl have to board or alight from the back of the bus bahx.. ?? Yap.. thats the bus.. sad to say.. even before i have the chance to board it, they are now part of our history le.. a history that i believe many of the bus enthusiast will remember about the Great Red Bus... Mark the day whereby our last Leyland Lynx is being towed to Defu Scrap yard (actually it was yesterday evening). I think.. todays itz Lynx's death date le bahx.. ? Haiz.. Nt much memory from this guy.. except that i remeber seeing it in Ang Mo Kio INterchange during the days when it was on 267 / 269. Caught it once.. and the ride gave mi a very deep impression.. Fast and quiet (sort of like a Scania If im not wrong). What it actually attracts me is the unique front whereby one part of the front windscreen is slant inwards towards the drivers cab. but then.. too bad.. it was replaced with a normal Scania front after it was involved in an accident.. During the final years, it served on EB88 between Yishun Int and Ang Mo Kio Depot... but than.. no chances of catchin it as it was on long term MC restin inside Ang Mo Kio Depot for quite some time. It was until yesterday when i heard from Jack saying that someone had saw the Leyland Lynx being towed towards Defu Scrapyard... Haiz... There goes our 1 and only Leyland Lynx.. it seems that after the gone of Lynx, the only Leyland bus left is the Leyland Olympian (9000 - 9199). For more pictures, refer to :
