As the problem of our overcrowding trains system in Singapore is set to grow to be more worst, i think this is something good that we are able to learn from Japan.

A double deck carriage. Could be the answer to the problem that we are facing right now. As u could see from the photo, they dont actually need to increase the height for the DD carriage. Maybe someone from LTA / MOT / SMRT / SBST shld look into this. We do not need to implement a full DD train. I guess, by putting 1 or 2 carriage per train set during the rush hour will help to clear things alot.
But then again, the only negative point about this train set is that there can only be 2 doors at each end of the carriage. Which means that we actually do need more co-operation from commuters so that alighting and boarding can be done in a very smooth way. I guess, i shld write this suggestion into the relevant agencies since the possibility that they will extend the platform to accommodate 8 or eeven 12 cars since like a mission impossible.
